My IMIT manager is amazing – and I am having a really hard time saying goodbye to him. Since I wasn’t sure I would do well having a lunch with him that involves me blubbing like a fool, I invited Ian, a previous colleague, to join us.
Lunch was fine. Nothing eventful. (I didn’t expect there to be.) But it was hard to sit with this man I have worked so well with for years and know that when I am finished my time in EDMP, he won’t be there to welcome me back, tease me, and just generally make me feel like I have come home to the team.
The only thing worse? This was a private lunch with just the three of us. Later this week will be the team farewell dinner where we will say goodbye again.
